The actor who is playing Shivudu is lean (86 to 88 kgs) which has a minimum body fat of 5 to 6 per cent. On the other hand Baahubali is more bulked up (105 kgs) with 8 to 10 per cent body fat. Prabhas had to follow a different diet for both.

Prabhas underwent rigorous training on which his trainer says’, “For the last four years, I feel like I have been living with Prabhas. After a hectic shoot day too, even though it would be 11 pm, Prabhas wouldn’t miss his workout. He’s one of the most dedicated and committed people I have worked with. He completely gave himself to his role as Baahubali.’

He further adds, “Prabhas has done risky things for his role and even though the team would take all precautions, he has had some injuries. But that did not stop him. He would undergo physiotherapy sessions and continue his workouts.”

I’ve put my actors in difficult positions: Rajamouli on Baahubali 2

Having successfully completed the principal shooting of Baahubali: The Conclusion, filmmaker SS Rajamouli on Monday said he looks forward to commence post-production work as he can’t wait to see the project take shape.

Speaking at the first edition of India Today Conclave South in Chennai, he said: “When you’re shooting, nobody quite knows how the project will come out. It’s during post-production you see the film take shape with visual effects and music. Therefore, I’m eagerly looking forward to start post-production.”

The second part in the franchise is slated for release on April 28, and Rajamouli said sleepless nights are yet to begin. “It’s going to get hectic. No matter how challenging it might get, I don’t like to compromise on my vision. I’m well aware that I have put my actors in difficult positions because of my vision but when they see I work for the betterment of the product, they understand the pain I put them though,” he said.

About Rajamouli’s vision, film’s cinematographer Senthil Kumar said the filmmaker doesn’t like to get into a comfort zone. “With each film, he wants to do more. He doesn’t like to enter a comfort zone. He likes getting into uncharted territories. I’ve been working with him for eight years and each time I collaborated on a new project, I had to unlearn and relearn,” he said.

Senthil also said Baahubali: The Conclusion will amaze audiences more than the first part. “If you were blown away by Baahubali first part, come prepared for Baahubali 2, it will amaze you even more. In the second part, we have done what we couldn’t do in the first,” he added.

Prabhas’ commitment for Baahubali is unparalleled, says Shobu

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda lauds Prabhas' commitment for Baahubali

Shobu Yarlagadda, one of the producers of S.S Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise, said actor Prabhas’ commitment for the project came with no strings attached.

On Friday, Prabhas completed shooting his portion for “Baahubali: The Conclusion”, thereby relieving himself from the franchise after three and a half years.

The actor plays the role of Shivudu and Amarendra Baahubali in the first film. Prabhas’ intensity and physique had film buffs from all over India swooning over him and how.

The actor has put in a lot of efforts for Baahubali 2 including increasing his weight to a reported 130-150 kgs. Sounds unbelievable, doesn’t it? He was weighing close to 100 kgs in the first part.

Prabhas did not take up any film for three years as he could not switch his physicality while doing Baahubali. As per rumours, he also postponed his wedding.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted his appreciation for Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. The second part in the franchise is gearing up for April 28 release. The principal shooting of “Baahubali: The Conclusion” was wrapped up on Friday. Baahubali 2 promises to be a historic film for the Telugu film industry as was the first one of the franchise.

Shobu Yarlagadda is the son-in-law of famous Telugu producer K Raghavendra Rao. He is co-founder of Arka Mediaworks with Prasad Devinini. So far, he has made films like Vedam, Maryada Ramanna, Panjaa all of which are blockbusters. However, Baahubali made him a known name over India.

Baahubali 2 trailer will NOT release with SRK’s Raees

Prabhas and Rana Daggubati‘s Baahubali 2 is one of the most anticipated films of 2017. And while the makers have released the first look of the film already, people are now eager to watch the trailer.

Recently there was a lot of speculation regarding Baahubali 2‘s trailer releasing along with Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees. However let me inform this isn’t true! The makers finally put an end to the speculation and clarified that the trailer of Baahubali 2 will NOT be attached to Raees.

Tweeting from their official handle, the Baahubali 2 makers clarified, “There are rumours that the trailer of #Baahubali2 is attached to “Raees”. We would like to clarify that these rumors are false. An official announcement regarding the date of #Baahubali2 trailer release will be made by us at an appropriate time.”

Well, looks like all the Baahubali fans will have to wait a few more weeks to see the trailer. In fact, with the film’s shoot wrapping up just a few days back, it was obvious the makers would jump in to the post production work rather than release their trailer.

Baahubali 2 teaser to be attached with Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees

Okay, January could not have got more exciting. While Bollywood is looking forward to the big clash between Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees- Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil, there is another surprise waiting for us, a grand surprise rather.

Turns out, Prabhas’ Baahubali 2′s first teaser will be out on 25th January. Yes, that’s right! And it will be attached with Raees! As a Baahubali fan myself, couldn’t have asked for better beginning to 2017.

For all you know, the teaser will steal both movies’ thunder, what say? This is the ultimate bonanza. Baahubali 2 is one of the most awaited sequels of all times for so many reasons, one, we will finally know the answer to why Katappa Killed Baahubali, two to see yet another masterpiece directed by SS Rajamouli.

If you thought Baahubali was big, get ready for a grander, bigger movie with Part 2. In terms of visuals, war sequences, architecture, this movie is all set to blow our minds away!

Currently the team is still shooting, finishing off the last leg, but don’t worry, the movie will release on 28th April as planned as the post production is going on simultaneously.Until then we have the teaser to look forward to! Yay!

It was on October 22 the grand first look was launched at the Jio MAMI 2016 Festival. The entire cast and crew were present – SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and producer Shobu. Rana Daggubati who plays the lead antagonist could not make to this event.

They spoke at length about the movie and its expansion into graphic novels, animated series and virtual reality games. The first look showcased both avatars of Prabhas.

While fans were only too thrilled about the first poster, it did not live up to the expectations. We are really hoping the teaser blows our minds and triples our excitement for this magnum opus. 2017 already seems like a great year with this news out.

So how excited are you about the Baahubali 2 teaser? What do you think the teaser will be about? Will it finally show us a glimpse of the much talked about Devasena-Amarendra Baahubali love story?

Finally, Prabhas Wraps up Baahubali Shoot

A marathon journey of great determination and passion came to its end. Young Rebel Star Prabhas has wrapped up his part for SS Rajamouli’s most eagerly awaited magnum opus, Baahubali The Conclusion.

Over the past 3 and a half years, Prabhas devoted his life to Tollywood’s most ambitious film ever. He didn’t accept any other film in the meantime and even delayed his marriage for Baahubali. In these ‘surreal’ moments, as the producer Shobu puts it, Prabhas’ good friend and maverick director SS Rajamouli tweeted his gratitude, saying, “And thats a wrap 4 prabhas 3.5 years. Onehellof a journey Thanks darling. No one had as much belief on this project as you. That means a lot.”

His previous film before Baahubali, 'Mirchi' released on 8/2/2013 and the regular shooting of Baahubali began on 6/7/2013 and that is not counting the nearly six months of body sculpting, horse training, rock climbing practice etc. etc. Finally today, after a gruelling 3 and a half year of dedication to Baahubali, Prabhas wrapped up his shooting for Baahubali. That was surely one hell of ride, literally.

Here are the tweets from Team Baahubali thanking Prabhas for his dedication and belief in the project.

And here is one Meme that sums up all
