Here’s how Prabhas is preparing Baahubali 2!

Being a part of something as epic and grand as SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali requires unwavering dedication, tons and tons of hard work and great deal of patience.

I am sure Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty are aware of these factors since they lived their onscreen characters day in day out for almost three years, which in turn became instrumental in Baahubali’s success. And now with the shooting of the second part ready to under way, all these stars are getting back into the Baahubali groove and how.

While Rana Daggubati is rigourously working out and following super human diet to beef up for his role, Anushka Shetty is shedding weight in USA through a specially designed weight loss program.

And now the hero of the film, Prabhas, has revealed how he is getting ready for Baahubali 2. Talking to press, Prabhas said,” I’ve already started growing my moustache. Since my shoulder surgery, I haven’t been in the best shape as I was advised not to work out. Now that I’m doing much better, I’ll start gymming soon. I weighed around 95 kg in the first part, I have to maintain it and look muscular too”.

With just few weeks left for Prabhas to join the shoot of Baahubali 2, the actor has an uphill task of getting in shape for the role.

Baahubali' runs houseful even after 100 days

'Baahubali' (Bahubali) creates historic record: Prabhas film runs houseful even after 100 days

The craze for "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) has not died down and it continues to run in packed houses in some theatres across the globe even after completing 100 days.

The trend of 100-day run of a film in theatres is fast fading away following the new trend of Rs 100 crore movies. Unlike in the past, movies are released in thousands of cinema halls and their theatrical run will be over within four to five weeks. But "Baahubali - the Beginning" seems to be an exception to this trend by achieving both the 100-day run and Rs 100 crore.

Directed by SS Rajamouli, "Baahubali - the Beginning" was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam in over 4,000 cinema halls around the world on 10, July, 2015. Though it clashed with a host of big ticket Indian movies including "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", "Srimanthudu", "Puli" and "Rudhramadevi", the movie maintained rock-steady at the ticket counters across the globe.

"Baahubali - the Beginning" completed 100 days in theatres on 17 October and the makers are yet to reveal in how many theatres it has achieved the feat. The movie reportedly had a 100-day run in over 250 cinema halls and still has a good amount of occupancy. The film has recorded 100% occupancy in some theatres and the makers are all thrilled over its success.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda tweeted, "On100th day of @BaahubaliMovie, a BIG BIG thanks to all for your amazing support n appreciation! We couldn't have asked for more! And a huge round of applause to the super talented n hard working Cast n Crew of @BaahubaliMovie ! #Baahubali100days"

Tamannaah Bhatia, who has played Avantika in Baahubali, tweeted, "Feel super lucky to be a part of this epic movie @BaahubaliMovie #100DaysForIndianEpicBaahubali @ssrajamouli @Shobu_"

Rana Daggubati tweeted, "Capital Cinemas Vijaywada opens today!! A venture we at Suresh Productions are all extremely proud of!! Watching Baahubali after 100days :) in the new multiplex on 4k in Vijaywada!! Outstanding feeling!!"

The fans of SS Rajamouli, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati celebrated the success by watching the movie again in the cinema halls where it was running on 17 October. Some of them even shared the photos of the celebrations on the Twitter and Facebook pages.

No star bigger than film’s success : Prabhas

The phenomenal success of S.S, Rajamouli’s “Baahubali”, which has emerged as India’s biggest blockbuster, has made its lead actor Prabhas realise something very important — that the success of any film should be attributed to its team and not to the star.

The phenomenal success of S.S, Rajamouli’s “Baahubali”, which has emerged as India’s biggest blockbuster, has made its lead actor Prabhas realise something very important — that the success of any film should be attributed to its team and not to the star.

“This success has taught me that a star alone can’t be credited for a film’s success, which is usually achieved by a team. No star is bigger than the success of a film,” Prabhas told IANS in an exclusive interview.

The success of “Baahubali”, according to the 35-year-old actor, belongs to every last member of the team who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth release.

“Firstly, it’s not easy to make a film on such a grand scale. The bigger challenge nowadays is to take a film to the theatres. In our case, we didn’t face any difficulty in releasing, which was only possible because of meticulous planning and team work,” he said.

Despite appreciations pouring in from all quarters for his performance, Prabhas doesn’t consider himself a national star yet.

“It felt nice when stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan appreciated my performance. Rajinikanth sir called and congratulated me. Such things have never happened before. I’m glad I’m popular, people recognise wherever I go, but it’s too early to be called a national star,” he said.

Released in multiple languages, the film earned over Rs.600 crore at the ticket window and even successfully completed 100 days of run in select theatres in the country last week.

Although Prabhas admits they wanted the film to succeed, he says they never anticipated this kind of response.

“When a film of this scale is made, you want it to be a blockbuster because mere success won’t help the producers recover money. What surprised us the most was that the film did extremely well in Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam too,” said Prabhas, who’d like to thank Rajamouli the most for this success.

“If Rajamouli is the brain and heart of ‘Baahubali’, the producers are its skeleton, holding everything together and the fans are the blood. Rajamouli deserves all the laurels, but he’s so modest that he diverts all of it towards his team,” he said.

“Baahubali” is now gearing up for its television premiere this week in Telugu and Hindi.

“I hope it becomes the most viewed Indian film on television. It’s quite possible as this is not some regular commercial film that you watch once and forget. My cousins, who’ve already watched it a few times, have said that the experience had gotten better with each viewing,” he said, and added it will be the perfect treat for families this Dussehra festival.

The Hindi version of the film will have its world TV premiere on Sunday on Sony Max – after Dussehra on Oct 22. Prabhas will start shooting for the second part in the instalment from November.

Before he goes to the sets, he will muscle up. “I’ve already started growing my moustache. Since my shoulder surgery, I haven’t been in the best shape as I was advised not to work out. Now that I’m doing much better, I’ll start gymming soon. I weighed around 95 kg in the first part, I have to maintain it and look muscular too,” he said.

Unlike other stars, Prabhas says he’s not under pressure to deliver minimum of two films a year. He spent nearly two years on the first part of the film and may spend another year on part two.

“Even if I was required to spend four years, I’d have happily worked. An opportunity such as this you get once in a lifetime and it’d be stupid to jeopardize it,” he signs off.

Engineering Students quizzed about Baahubali in examination!

Article Credits : india.com                         Author : Priya Prakashan

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning made its presence felt on the box office this year. But did you ever imagine that the movie Bahubali would make it to an examination question paper? Well, Baahubali: The Beginning was very much part of an civil engineering department examination. The Vellore Institute of technology (VIT) Tamil Nadu made sure to include Baahubali: The Beginning in their civil engineering department examination question paper.

The question paper expected students to come up with an optimum structural stability design to ensure safety of the actors in the climax scene of Baahubali: The Beginning. The weightage of the question was for 20 marks and the reference was made to the climax scene of Baahubali: The Beginning.

The question in the examination paper asked students to provide answer for two references; where the load is acting on the frame so that maximum momentum can be generated and what load acts on the frame, which would make it weak.

The assistant professor of Vellore Institute of Technology said that this is not the first time that the paper had shared something so peculiar. Even in the past some references to the popular culture and trends has been made. It is done to spark an interest in the students with a reference to the popular trend instead of checking their knowledge about bland theoretical knowledge.

Well the year 2015 is all about Baahubali: The Beginning. Hands down Baahubali has won us all over with the larger than life mythological movie. The movie has set a benchmark for not only the South Indian movies but also Bollywood films.
