Prabhas and Switzerland - Part Four

This will be last post in this series (hopefully). This time we'll have a look at some of the movie locations of the delightful 'Gundello' song from Ek Niranjan which also has been picturised in Switzerland. The song has been shot in Bern, Fribourg and Zweisimmen as far as i could find out.

I suggest you also take a took at these places on Google Maps in street view. You'll surely enjoy viewing these places in real panoramic view. A few tips for using Google Maps (for those who probably are still not familiar). When in map view, click and drag the Golden Man icon(on the right side top corner) over the streets. If you can see blue lines appearing along the streets, it means street view is avl for these places. You can also see a small green circle appearing below the man icon. Drag and drop the man icon into these blue lined streets (the green circle helps you to drop him at the correct place)and you are taken to street view. You can now move along the streets in real view using the arrows to move forward/backward. You can also see small white circles as you move your mouse, where you can double click to move faster.

All images will open in a new window (no need to right click for a new tab view)

Gundello Song location in Bern, Switzerland

Trams runs through many of the important roads in Bern and in this song also you can see lots of trams in the city streets of Bern.

This scene is in front of the Bear fountain, near the Clock tower or the Zytglogge (about which i have written in my earlier posts) in the cobblestoned streets of the old town.

This scene has been shot at the Grand Casino, Bern. It's a casino with a restaurant cum bar and is located at Herrengasse.

This scene has also been shot near the Casino at Bern at one of the adjoining streets. ( This place got me confused. In distance view i saw a truck infront and the awnings of the shop were down and open. However as i moved closer, the truck was gone and the awnings were pulled back. Took me a few walks(?) around this place to find it out.

Gundello Song location in Zweisimmen, Switzerland

This part of the song has been picturised mostly in and around the Zweisimmen Railway Station. The railway station itself is a beautiful small old building in country style and stands amidst breath taking scenery. Zweisimmen is one among the three routes of the Golden Pass Train and one runs between Montreaux and Zweisimmen.

This scene is shot on a small bridge on one of the streets opposite the Zweisimmen Station.

Gundello Song locations in Fribourg, Switzerland

These scenes have been shot in front of the Hotel De Ville in Fribourg.

This scene is shot before the Antiquites Shop on one of the streets near the Hotel De Ville. The cathedral which you can see in the far end is the St.Nicholas Cathedral at Fribourg. ( you can see the cathedral in the pics of Hotel De Ville also)

This scene is shot in front of the Ursuline Convent and Church, Fribourg. This church is also located on the main street near the Hotel de Ville.
