It’s a well-known fact that Shahid Kapoor is acting in the remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s standout film ‘Arjun Reddy’.
It’s also a well-known fact that after the teaser of the remake ‘Kabir Singh’ released, ‘Saaho’ star Prabhas famously said that the remake even looks better than the original. It was their common hairstylist Hakim Aalim who connected the two actors and reports state that Shahid Kapoor was overwhelmed when he spoke to Prabhas. The duo didn’t just speak for 7-minutes or so, but the conversation left Shahid feeling overwhelmed.
Reports quote the actor as saying, “I spoke to Prabhas and he was very kind. He is Mahendra Baahubali for us so, it was really cool and encouraging to get such kind words from him because the Hindi audience might not know that Arjun Reddy is an iconic Telugu film and it received a lot of love from the audience.” With ‘Kabir Singh’ slated for release on June 21, even the Telugu audience who have already watched ‘Arjun Reddy’ wait with bated breath, especially because the same director, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is directing the remake. Kiara Advani will be reprising the role Shalini Pandey played in the Telugu original.
Prabhas on the other hand is busy with the shoot of his massive film ‘Saaho’, directed by Sujeeth and co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, apart from many film industry big-wigs. The duo is presently shooting in Karjat, Maharashtra for the film, something the actress shared on her social media recently. The film is slated for release on August 15 this year.
