Saaho’s postponement results in musical chairs

Prabhas’s biggie Saaho is indefinitely postponed from 15 August. It was confirmed unofficially yesterday. This prompted Ranarangam and Evaru to take the date of 15 August. Ranarangam (Sharwanand and Kajal Agarwal starrer) was supposed to release on 2 August and was looking for a better date. Evaru (Adivi Sesh’s thriller) was supposed to release on 23 August.

There is no official confirmation from Saaho filmmakers so far. One of the reasons for the postponement could be the competition from biggies in other languages. Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and T Series’s Batla House are releasing on 15 August. In Tamil too, a few important films are releasing for August 15.

Another main reason for postponement is that the film has filmed high octane action episodes extensively in public places in Abu Dhabi. It needs extensive VFX work to make these action sequences appear flawless. Hence the team needed more time..

Made with a humongous budget, Saaho needs a solo release across all languages to make the desired impact. The production house is expected to come up with a new suitable release date soon!
