Baahubali 2 to become the first 2000 crore film at the global box-office

With so many Bollywood films like Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Secret Superstar setting records in China, another Indian film is all set to take the Chinese box-office by storm. South superstar Prabhas starrer Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is now finally certified by the Chinese censor board. Even though film’s release date has not been finalised by the makers of the film, it’s said that a huge release is being planned and even the distributors have been finalised for the film. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion shattered all the existing records of every Indian movie in all other markets, hence it’s expected that film is going to do wonders in China as well.

Since Baahubali: The Beginning managed to impress the audiences in China, it’s assumed that Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will be a big hit. According to source, part two will have larger screen space just like Aamir Khan’s Dangal. It’s also said that Baahubali 2 will be the first Indian film to gross 2000 crore at the global box-office. Going as per the records, Aamir Khan’s Dangal is currently the highest worldwide grosser with its cumulative collection of Rs 1900 crore. Baahubali 2’s current cumulative collection is Rs 1715 crore and with its China release, the film is expected to mint minimum of Rs 300 crore in the Chinese markets. With that total figure, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion will become the first Indian film to gross Rs 2000 crore at the worldwide box-office.

Talking about the film, lead star Prabhas said, “As an actor, Baahubali has given me so much that I can't explain in words. It's a character that will always be a part of me,"

Spotlight on Prabhas’ role in Saaho

The makers of Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ ongoing action adventurous thriller, Saaho, are all are to kick-start the ambitious UAE schedule later this month. A whopping 40 crore will be spent on this 2 month-long schedule, where several breathtaking action sequences will be canned under Hollywood stunt coordinator Kenny Bates’ supervision. 

Now, an interesting buzz on Prabhas’ role in Saaho has been doing the rounds in film circles. Apparently, Prabhas will be essaying the role of an international thief who later turns a police informer. However, this is merely a speculation and we will have to wait until the film’s release to know the full picture. 

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is the film’s leading lady, while Neil Nitin Mukesh is the chief antagonist. Young filmmaker Sujeeth is helming this prestigious trilingual film, which is being produced under UV Creations banner with a whopping 150 crore budget.

Saaho Shoot gets postponed

The team will be heading to Romania to film some crucial scenes after completing shooting in Dubai.

The Saaho team was to fly down to Dubai to film some important portions including an action block at the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa, but the schedule now stands postponed. Reports are that it has been rescheduled to later this month due to various reasons that have not been disclosed. 

Apart from the schedule in Dubai, the team was also planning to shoot in other foreign countries, say sources and all that also stands postponed to a later date. 

Directed by Sujeeth Reddy, Saaho is bankrolled by V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy and U Pramod under the banner UV Creations. It is a magnum opus made on a budget of Rs. 150 crores of which Rs. 40 crores have been earmarked for the stunt sequences alone. 

Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the film has Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor playing the female lead. Others in the supporting roles include Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Arun Vijay, Jackie Shroff, Lal, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Tinnu Anand. Shankar – Ehsaan – Loy have been signed up to compose the tunes for this flick with R Madhi cranking the camera and A. Sreekar Prasad roped in for editing. Internationally renowned stunt choreographer Kenny Bates has been signed up to choreograph the action sequences, which would be the major highlight of Saaho. 

According to reports, the Saaho team would head to Romania to film some crucial scenes after completing the Dubai schedule. Being a sci-fi action entertainer, its lead star Prabhas had to do a lot of homework to get into the skin of the character he plays. He reportedly learnt scuba diving for the underwater scenes that were filmed on him, add sources.  

The shooting of this film began in June last year and the first look poster featuring its lead star, Prabhas, was released on his birthday on 23rd October. The film is scheduled to hit the silver screens later this year.

Saahore Baahubali crosses 100 Million Views, sets another Record

Director SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Conclusion has surpassed several records and has become a global phenomenon. 

Now, the song Saahore Baahubali, composed by M M Keeravani has become the first South Indian video song to cross 100 million views on YouTube. 

Sung by Bollywood sensation Daler Mehndi, the video of this song became an instant hit even before the film could hit the screens. SS Rajamouli's visuals have only added more grandeur to the song.
