Since its release, “Baahubali: The Beginning” has shattered numerous records and today, stands to be the highest domestic grosser in the history of Indian Cinema. After the hugely successful run in India, “Baahubali – The Beginning” is now impressing the Chinese audience.
Bahubali, which opened on Saturday (July 23rd) has grossed $540,000 in the first two days, and secured a ninth place at the Chinese Box Office. This is a record of sorts for an Indian movie.
Arka Media Works, the production house behind this war spectacle, inked a lucrative deal with E Stars Films, a leading distribution house to handle the massive release.
Baahubali will open in nearly 5,000 screens in China making it one of the biggest releases in Asia. The international version, which is 20 minutes less than the original runtime, was cut by popular editor Vincent Tabaillon.
Featuring an ensemble cast in the form of Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Ramya Krishna and Tamannaah, the soundtrack for the film was composed by MM Keeravani. The regular shooting of the film’s concluding part is going on at a brisk pace and the makers are planning to release it in April next year.
