10 Box Office Records which Baahubali Broke


This epic period saga has set so many records tumbling , that one might lose a track of it. Well, not to worry as we bring you a complete list of box office records that will Baahubali has conquered till now.

Rajamouli’s magnum opus starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishan has been like an unstoppable juggernaut at box office, steam rolling every box office record at sight. Well, just in case if you are having a hard time trying to recollect all the records which Baahubali has broken, We have compiled a list of all the box office records which this terrific film has broken: 

Highest box office opener Rs 50 crores: 

You heard it right! That’s how much Baahubali had raked in just the opening day worldwide. This makes SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus the proud record holder of highest grossing opener ever leaving films like Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year far behind. 

Fastest Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore :

Rs 100 crore mark is a landmark every movie dreams of achieving. And many films fall short of that elusive three figure. But Prabhas and Rana Daggubati starrer managed to surpass Rs 100 crore in just 2 days, making Baahubali the fastest Indian film to gross over Rs 100 crore. 

Highest grossing dubbed film :

It has been just 10 days since Baahubali: The Beginning has hit the screens and it has already become the highest grossing Hindi dubbed film! Raking 60 crore in just 10 days, Rajamouli’s film has become the highest grossing Hindi dubbed flick. 

Baahubali beats Robot :

If we just compare Baahubali’s Hindi version’s collections to Rajinikanth’s Robot collections, we will find that Baahubali has long beaten Robot in the box office race. While Rajini-Aishwarya starrer’s Hindi dubbed version made Rs 18 crore approximately in its lifetime business, Baahubali has already made more than double of it. 

Highest opening weekend collection at US box office :

The record which was earlier held by Aamir Khan’s PK was broken by Baahubali, as it got the highest opening weekend collection at US box office. Baahubali earned Rs 28 crore approx at US box office leaving PK at its wake. 

Highest opening for dubbed film :

Though Baahubali is a big film, people didn’t expect the Hindi version of the film to do this well at box office. On the opening day, Prabhas starrer made Rs 5.15 crore at box office, becoming the the highest opener for a dubbed film, beating Rajini’s Robot comfortably. 

Highest grossing Telugu film :

After minting over Rs 215 crore in five days, Baahubali has now becoming the highest grossing Telugu film till date. Earlier that record was held by Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi, which had done business of around 85 crore. 

200 crore in 5 days :

While most films struggle to touch Rs 100 crore mark, Baahubali has stormed into Rs 200 crore club in 5 days. In just 5 days, Rajamouli’s war saga has minted Rs 215 crore worldwide.

Highest grossing film in Karnataka:

At the end of 10 days, Baahubali collected 38 crores creating an all time collection record. It is to be noted that there was no Kannada dubbed version of Baahubali and the collections were from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi dubbed versions.

300 Crores in 9 Days:

After surpassing the 100 crore mark in 2 days and 200 crore mark in 5 days, Baahubali breached the 300 crore mark in just 9 days, a feat no other south Indian movie has achieved so far.

Baahubali joins the Top Ten Highest Grossing Films of India:

Baahubali collected a massive 325 crores by its 10th day and with this stupendous collection the movie has entered the top ten highest grossing films of India, a record so far held only by Bollywood films.
