Two days ahead of its release, Director S S Rajamouli's much-awaited film 'Baahubali' has generated great interest among fans who today queued up in large numbers outside multiplexes here to book tickets in advance.
Long queues outside theatres for advance ticket booking was a rare sight in the city after a long time and was reminiscent of days when cine-goers eagerly waited for superstar Chiranjeevi's movies when he was at the height of his popularity.
Fans gathered outside a popular multiplex in Hyderabad and the queue only grew longer as the day progressed. Police had to intervene to ensure order.
"It was reminiscent of the days of Chiranjeevi's movies releasing. Such a response has been seen after a long time," said Kishan, PRO of Prasad's IMAX.
The big-budget film, starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishna, Anushka and Tamanna in the lead roles, is slated for release on July 10.
Touted as one of the most expensive films made in the country with a reported budget of Rs 250 crore, the film is an epic drama that took three years to complete.
